A Community-Wide Effort

The Charlottesville Area Better Business Challenge was started by a partnership with Better World Betty and LEAP (the Local Energy Alliance Program) in 2010. In total, over 150 businesses, schools, and churches have participated in the Better Business Challenge in the last two Challenges. Round Two had 78 participants who saved over $180,000 per year collectively. The Charlottesville Climate Collaborative licensed the program from Better World Betty in the fall of 2017 to bring the Challenge back to Charlottesville in 2018!
